Strategic Leader in MBSE, Systems Architecture & Engineering Governance
Karl Chick is a strategic MBSE and systems architecture leader with more than three decades of experience in safety‑critical engineering across the defence, aerospace, and automotive sectors. His work focuses on engineering governance, architecture process ownership, and the development of scalable model‑based frameworks that align cross‑domain engineering teams. He has extensive experience in software‑defined systems and software engineering, supporting the integration of model‑based practices into complex, multi‑disciplinary environments. His current research explores the foundational structures of engineering governance—including the separation of justification roles and method-agnostic patterns—to develop cohesive oversight models that synthesize engineering rigour with corporate governance for technology-led enterprises.
